Get started with Kustom Checkout for Finqu

Before you begin

Make sure you have:

  • An active Finqu store
  • Admin access to your store settings
  • Your company registration details (for KYC verification)
  • Bank account details for payouts

1. Activate Kustom Checkout in Finqu

Kustom Checkout (KCO) comes pre-installed as a default payment option in Finqu.

You can monitor the activation status under:

  • Store Admin → Payment settings

Activation is handled by Kustom and typically takes a few days up to one week.

2. Provide additional business information (KYC)

Once Kustom begins processing your activation, additional verification may be required.

If so:

  • You will be notified by Kustom
  • You can enter the required details directly from your Payment settings when prompted

You can also log in to the Kustom Merchant Portal to check your account status:

  • https://portal.kustom.co/

Verification may include:

  • Company information
  • Owner details
  • Bank account details for payouts

3. If Kustom Checkout is not active

If your store previously used another payment provider, Kustom Checkout may have been disabled.

In that case:

  • Go to your Payment settings page
  • Re-enable or reorder Kustom Checkout
  • Follow the on-screen instructions

This will restart the onboarding process.

Verify that Kustom Checkout is working

Once activation is complete, we strongly recommend performing a test purchase.

Test steps

  1. Visit your store frontend
  2. Add a product to the cart
  3. Proceed to checkout
  4. Complete a payment using a Kustom-supported payment method
  5. Confirm that:
    • The payment succeeds
    • You are redirected back to your store
    • The order appears correctly in Finqu

Tip: Use a low-priced test product. You can refund the payment later via the Kustom Merchant Portal.

Automated Payment Processing

Kustom Checkout automates your payment flow:

  • Payments are verified automatically
  • Refunds are handled via Kustom
  • Payouts are transferred directly to your business bank account
  • No manual payment management is required in Finqu

Kustom App Features in Finqu

You can access the Kustom app from:

  • Admin → Apps → Kustom → Open

Within the Functions menu, you can:

  • View account details
    Access your Kustom account information.

  • Order new credentials
    Request updated API credentials if needed.
    Credentials update automatically — no manual entry is required.

  • Reinstall payment method
    Reinstall Kustom Checkout if it stops functioning correctly.

  • Restart setup
    Restart the complete onboarding flow if a previous application was declined.

After activation

Once activation is fully completed, a Kustom Merchant Portal button will appear in your admin.

From there, you can access:

  • Account status
  • Transactions
  • Refunds
  • Payouts
