Get started with Kustom Checkout for Flowshop

This guide explains how to install and configure Kustom Checkout in your Flowshop store.

1. Apply for a Kustom merchant account

Start by applying for an agreement with Kustom here.

2. Complete verification (KYC)

After submitting your application:

  1. Log in to the Kustom Portal using either SSO or the email address used in your application.
  2. Provide any additional company information if requested.
  3. Upload the required verification documents, for example:
    • Identification
    • Company registration documents

Kustom will review your application and approve your merchant account.

3. Generate your API credentials

Once your account has been approved:

  1. Log in to the Kustom Portal.
  2. Click Integrations.
  3. Click Generate new API key.

This generates two credentials:

  • Username
  • Password

Save these credentials in a secure location. You'll need them when connecting Kustom to Flowshop.

4. Install Kustom Checkout in Flowshop

Once you have your API credentials, you can install Kustom Checkout in Flowshop.

Step 1 — Open the Apps section

  1. Log in to your Flowshop admin.
  2. Click Apps in the left menu.

Step 2 — Install the Kustom app

  1. Locate Kustom under payment providers.
  2. Click Install.

Step 3 — Enter your API credentials and configure the settings

After installation, open the Kustom settings and enter:

  • Merchant ID (corresponds to the Key ID)
  • API Secret (corresponds to the Password)

These are the same API keys generated in the Kustom Portal in step 3.

Before saving, verify the following settings:

  • Test Mode should be disabled
  • Activate should be enabled

You can optionally set a minimum age requirement if needed.

Click Save. Kustom Checkout is now connected to your Flowshop store.

Age verification (optional)

  • The minimum age verification feature must be activated by Kustom before it can be used.
  • Age verification currently only works for Sweden and Norway.
