Get started with Kustom Checkout for Mystore

Before you begin

Make sure you have:

  • An active MyStore store
  • Admin access to your store settings
  • Your company registration details
  • Contact information visible in your store (e.g., address, phone, email)
  • Your business legal information (for KYC)

For a smooth activation process, we recommend displaying these details clearly in your store setup.

1. Activate Kustom Checkout in MyStore

Kustom Checkout can be added from your store’s payment settings.

Steps

  1. Log in to your MyStore admin.
  2. Go to Configuration → Payment methods.
  3. Click Add payment method.
  4. Select Kustom Checkout.
  5. Submit the activation request.

This generates an onboarding request that is sent to Kustom for review.

2. Provide additional business information (KYC)

After you submit the request, Kustom will review your application. To help the process go smoothly, make sure the following information is completed and visible in your MyStore settings:

  • Organization number
  • Company name and registered address
  • Contact telephone number and email address
  • Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy pages

Kustom may request additional verification by email or through the merchant portal. Having the information above already set up in your store and account typically speeds up approval.

3. Review and processing time

Kustom typically processes onboarding requests within 1–2 weeks, provided all required documentation is submitted correctly.

You can follow your application status via:

  • Your MyStore control panel
  • Email notifications from Kustom

If anything is missing, Kustom may contact you to request additional information.

4. Verify that Kustom Checkout is working

Once Kustom has approved your activation and verification:

  • Enable Kustom Checkout in your payment methods list
  • Perform a test purchase to confirm everything works as expected
  1. Visit your storefront.
  2. Add a low-priced product to the cart.
  3. Complete checkout using a Kustom-supported payment method.
  4. Confirm that:
    • The payment succeeds
    • You are redirected back to the store
    • The order appears correctly in MyStore

Automated payments and payouts

After activation:

  • Payments are processed through Kustom
  • Payouts are handled by Kustom and transferred to your registered business bank account
  • Refunds and detailed transaction reports are available in the Kustom Merchant Portal
