Starweb stores come with a demo version of Kustom Checkout (KCO) pre-installed. If you want to set up KCO from scratch, you can do so in two ways:
Using the automatic onboarding process gives you pre-negotiated pricing with Kustom based on your Starweb e-commerce package.
Steps
- Log in to your Starweb admin.
- Go to Settings → Payment Methods.
- In the info box for Kustom Checkout, click “Registrera ett konto”.
- This starts an automatic setup with Kustom — your account is created, and Kustom Checkout is configured in your webshop with production credentials.
- Once the setup is complete, the payment method is activated with a standard configuration.
- Review your settings to make sure everything is correct — for example, selectable shipping methods and price lists.
To ensure the integration works correctly, go to your store and:
- Add a product to the cart
- Proceed to checkout
- If everything is working as expected, the Kustom Checkout should load without interruption.
If you already have a Kustom account, you can set up KCO manually.
Steps
- Log in to your Starweb admin.
- Create a new payment method.
- In the list of payment options, select Kustom Checkout.
- To connect your Kustom account, contact Starweb Support to enter the API keys that link your store to your Kustom Merchant Portal.
To ensure the integration works correctly, go to your store and:
- Add a product to the cart
- Proceed to checkout
- If everything is working as expected, the Kustom Checkout should load without interruption.
