Sell to businesses (B2B)
Let a customer switch to an organization flow inside the same Kustom Checkout — organization number instead of a personal identity, separate billing and shipping addresses, and invoice and card payment, on the same API as the consumer flow.
B2B lets a customer switch to an organization flow inside the same checkout: organization number instead of a personal identity, separately configurable billing and shipping addresses, invoice and card payment, and recurring orders. It runs on the same API as the consumer flow, so an existing integration only adds the fields below.
Card payment for business customers is available in every market where Kustom Checkout is activated. Invoice payment through Billie is limited to Billie’s own markets.
Offer both flows
Section titled “Offer both flows”List both customer types, and the customer chooses:
{ "options": { "allowed_customer_types": ["person", "organization"] }}Start in the B2B flow
Section titled “Start in the B2B flow”Set the customer type directly, and optionally pre-fill the organization number:
{ "customer": { "type": "organization", "organization_registration_id": "556036-0793" }}Read the result
Section titled “Read the result”customer.type on the completed order tells you which flow was used, and
billing_address may then carry organization fields such as organization_name and
attention — the reference the customer entered.
If you need to know before the order is placed — to price differently, or to show a
different confirmation — the client-side customer event reports the type, on load and again
whenever the customer switches flow. (load carries it too, alongside an address narrowed to
country and postal code.) Neither event carries the organization fields: organization_name
and attention are on the order, not in an event payload.
