Shipping partners
The transport management systems that feed live delivery options into Kustom Checkout through the Shipping Assistant — which TMS is supported, what each needs from you and the exact credentials to enter in the Kustom Portal.
The Kustom Shipping Assistant (KSA) shows delivery options inside the checkout that come from your own transport management system, using your carriers, your rules and your prices. You don’t build that connection — Kustom has connectors for the major TMS providers, and if you already use one, activating KSA is a matter of configuring your options in the TMS and entering its credentials in the Kustom Portal. This page is the catalogue of those connectors and what each one needs. For how the Shipping Assistant itself works, see Shipping options in the checkout.
What every TMS connection needs
Section titled “What every TMS connection needs”Whichever partner you use, the shape is the same:
- An account with the TMS, and your delivery options configured there.
- A TMS selection, an Identifier and a Key entered against your merchant account in the Kustom Portal.
- KSA triggered from the checkout payload when you create the order — see Shipping options in the checkout.
What differs is only where the identifier and key come from. Pick the right TMS in the Portal — several partners share a corporate parent but have separate connectors, and choosing the wrong one produces an authentication failure with no obvious cause.

Two of these partners’ own help articles are still filed under “Klarna Checkout” — Shipmondo’s integration guide and Skrym’s setup pages. That’s the former name of Kustom Checkout. The articles describe the current integration.
The list grows as Kustom enters new markets. To propose a partnership, contact

nShift, Unifaun, Consignor, Transsmart and Returnado
Section titled “nShift, Unifaun, Consignor, Transsmart and Returnado”Unifaun, Consignor, Transsmart and Returnado are all part of nShift, but they aren’t one connector. When you configure the KSA connection you must select the TMS that matches the product you actually use. If you’re unsure which that is, ask nShift before guessing.
The nShift partnership is free of charge, provided you share parcel tracking information back with Kustom.
Which nShift Checkout version you have
Section titled “Which nShift Checkout version you have”- You manage nShift Checkout through nShift Delivery → you’re on Checkout v1.
- You manage nShift Checkout through nShift Portal → you’re on Checkout v2.
Configure your options in nShift first
Section titled “Configure your options in nShift first”Set up your delivery options in nShift Checkout before touching the Kustom Portal, using the Kustom template. The template limits the configurable fields to what KSA can actually render, which is the difference between options that display correctly and options that silently drop.
Setup guides: Checkout v1 and Checkout v2.
Credentials for Checkout v1
Section titled “Credentials for Checkout v1”| Portal field | Value |
|---|---|
| TMS | nShift/Unifaun DeliveryCheckout (v1) |
| Identifier | the first part of the API key, a hyphen, then the DeliveryCheckout ID |
| Key | the second part of the API key |
The API key lives in nShift Delivery under Maintenance → API keys: its first part is the ID and its second part is the secret ID. The DeliveryCheckout ID is under Maintenance → DeliveryCheckout → Search.
Include the hyphen between the two halves of the identifier, and make sure there are no stray spaces anywhere. A trailing space is the most common cause of a v1 connection that won’t authenticate.
Credentials for Checkout v2
Section titled “Credentials for Checkout v2”| Portal field | Value |
|---|---|
| TMS | nShift Checkout (v2) |
| Identifier | the Connection ID, found under Connections |
| Key | the Kustom Secret |
Create the Kustom Secret from the Edit Connections page: press Create Kustom Secret, copy the generated value and then press Save on the connection. If you don’t save the connection, the secret is discarded and the copied value will never work.
Consignor
Section titled “Consignor”Consignor automates the delivery process end to end — checkout, carrier rating, shipment consolidation, label printing, manifesting, tracking, notifications and returns. Through the partnership, Consignor supplies Kustom with your preferred shipping options, the tracking number and the carrier, and Kustom renders them in its own checkout design. Customers pick a delivery method and then track the parcel with the carrier in real time.
You need a Kustom account and a Consignor subscription with the Ship Advisor add-on — the add-on is what exposes the options. Configure your shipping options in Consignor first, then add the credentials in the Kustom Portal.
Fraktjakt
Section titled “Fraktjakt”Fraktjakt handles booking, tracking and follow-up including labels and customs documents. With the integration, customers choose their shipping service and delivery agent in the checkout, and the transport is booked automatically — delivery details move from Kustom to Fraktjakt with no re-keying.
As a Fraktjakt business customer you can book on your own carrier contracts or on Fraktjakt’s group contracts, and you get price optimization, postal code verification, bin-packing, customs documentation and multi-currency support, plus shipping statistics and branded tracking notifications.
Fraktjakt publishes Kustom-specific setup instructions.
PostNord
Section titled “PostNord”PostNord is the main carrier to, from and within the Nordics, and its Send Direct Business web app manages shipping and tracking. Through KSA you display your exact PostNord options in the checkout, and completed purchases automatically create shipping orders in Send Direct Business, where you print labels free of charge, order pickups and track parcels.
Follow PostNord’s connect-your-store instructions first. You need a PostNord Portal Business account.
Shipmondo
Section titled “Shipmondo”Shipmondo covers many carriers from one platform. The integration displays your Shipmondo shipping methods and prices in Kustom Checkout, and on the Shipmondo side you import orders from the webshop, book freight, send personalized tracking messages and print packing lists, labels and customs papers. Accounts are free with no subscription or binding period.
Skrym’s differentiator is optimization: its algorithms work out how to fulfill an order — which packaging, and the true shipping cost with every transporter fee and surcharge included — at the moment the checkout asks. It also handles tracking, booking and transporter invoice control, and works as a standalone logistics tool.
Webshipper
Section titled “Webshipper”Webshipper automates the order and shipping flow from checkout through label printing, and adds paperless customs documents, return orders and freight rate comparison. Through the partnership, Webshipper passes shipping methods, drop points and rates into Kustom Checkout for the customer to choose from.
Gordon and Porterbuddy
Section titled “Gordon and Porterbuddy”Both are last-mile specialists for urban delivery. Gordon is an all-in-one delivery management platform used by retailers, producers and delivery companies across Europe. Porterbuddy runs fast, flexible urban deliveries using existing excess capacity. Neither has Kustom-specific credential requirements beyond the standard TMS, identifier and key — get started through their own onboarding and then add the credentials in the Portal.
