Get started with Kustom Checkout for Vilkas

Vilkas webshops include Kustom Checkout pre-installed by default. To start using it, you only need to activate the payment method in your store admin.

Before you begin

Make sure you have:

  • An active Vilkas webshop
  • Admin access
  • Company registration details
  • Bank account details (for payouts)

1. Activate Kustom Checkout in Vilkas

Kustom Checkout is already added to your webshop.

To activate it:

  1. Log in to your Vilkas admin.
  2. Go to your Payment settings.
  3. Locate Kustom Checkout.
  4. Enable / activate the payment method.

Once activated, an onboarding request is sent to Kustom for processing.

2. Complete verification (if required)

During activation, Kustom may request additional verification information, such as:

  • Company registration details
  • Owner / beneficial owner information
  • Bank account details

You will be notified if additional information is required. Activation is completed once Kustom has reviewed and approved the application.

3. Verify that Kustom Checkout is working

After activation:

  1. Visit your storefront.
  2. Add a product to the cart.
  3. Proceed to checkout.
  4. Complete a test payment.
  5. Confirm that:
    • The payment is successful
    • You are redirected back to your store
    • The order appears in your Vilkas admin

Automated payment processing

After activation:

  • Payments are processed through Kustom Checkout
  • Klarna payment methods are available via Kustom
  • Refunds and transaction management are handled in the Kustom Merchant Portal
  • Payouts are transferred to your registered bank account
