If your store was previously using Vipps MobilePay Checkout, follow the steps below to switch to Kustom Checkout. You will receive your Kustom credentials directly — you do not need to go through the standard ordering process.

Note: Do not delete the MobilePay Checkout payment method until all orders placed through it have been fully processed. Deleting it before that point will prevent you from activating payments or issuing refunds on those orders.
You will need a Username (UID) and Shared secret from the Kustom Portal before completing the steps below.
To generate them:
- Sign in to Kustom Portal.
- Navigate to Integrations in the left-hand menu.
- Click Generate new and save the password immediately — it cannot be retrieved later.

- Go to Settings > Payment.
- In the payment methods list, add a new payment method and select Kustom Checkout as the type.
- Kustom Checkout is added to the list. A warning will appear prompting you to order credentials — ignore this warning. Your credentials come directly from Kustom.
- Click Complete setup on the Kustom Checkout row to open the credentials form.
- If instead you see a "Want to use Kustom Checkout?" activation page, click I already have credentials at the bottom.
- Enter your credentials into the Merchant ID and Shared secret fields. Save the settings. You do not need to change any other settings at this stage.
- Go to the General tab and set the payment method to visible.
- Test the payment method in your storefront.
- Once confirmed working, hide (do not delete) MobilePay Checkout from customers.
- Go to Settings > Payment.
- If Kustom Checkout does not already exist in your shop, click the Kustom Checkout card at the top of the page, then click Add.
- If it already exists, click Complete setup directly from the payment methods table and skip to step 5.
- The Kustom Checkout settings page opens. An activation notice is shown at the top — ignore it. Your credentials come directly from Kustom.
- Fill in your credentials in the Username (UID) and Shared secret fields.
- If you see the "Want to use Kustom Checkout?" activation screen instead, click I already have credentials at the bottom.
- Check the box confirming you have read and accepted Kustom's terms of delivery. Save the settings.
- Go to the General tab and set the payment method to visible.
- Test the payment method in your storefront.
- Once confirmed working, hide (do not delete) MobilePay Checkout from customers.
